Eric Liberge, born in 1965, started to draw at a very young age. In 1977 he already filled entire pages with works of art and small skeletons. In 1996 he embarks on the "Monsieur Mardi-Gras Descendres" project. The magazines PLG, Ogoun and Golem are the first to accept a few short extracts from the "Petit monde du Purgatoire". The first volume, "Bienvenue!" is finished in 1998 and is published by Zone Créative. It is awarded the Prix René Goscinny in 1999 and republished at Pointe Noire. In 2002 he abandons this excellent series after three albums, and publishes "Tonnerre rampant" followed by "Métal" at Soleil, in the "Latitudes" collection. In 2004, Editions Dupuis republish the first three volumes, followed in 2005 by the fourth and final volume. Eric Liberge also works together with Denis-Pierre Filippi for the "Empreinte(s)" collection : "Les Corsaires d'Alcibiade".
